Kings Stride

Lenkoe, one Mara North's most handsome and big males of his time. Capturing a low level image of a lion walking straight towards the camera is surprisingly difficult. The light must be good, the foreground and background must be good, the lion must be in a good pose and lastly there must be an unobstructed view between the camera and the lion. This is the hardest part, as the grass in the Mara is often a challenge for low level shooting. All of this came together in this moment. When it all comes together, it is hard to not be captivated by his gaze as he moves with power and intent.
