Help and FAQ
Print information
What paper do you use?
Both colour and black and white images are professionally printed on Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper, with long life inks. Unlike traditional matte photo papers, cotton rag is not treated with a top coat. This provides a very luxurious finish with virtually no light reflection, ensuring your print will look its very best when hung on your wall.
Handling your print
Our 40cm prints are delivered flat. Larger sizes are delivered in tubes. We provide a white border around the print to make them easier to handle, so you do not need to touch the delicate print surface. Please note that rolling a large scale print back up safely, can be a challenge. We strongly recommend taking your print straight to a local framer, as they will be highly skilled in prepping and framing, leaving you to enjoy the finished piece.
Colour accuracy
All prints have been edited on a calibrated screen and professionally produced on calibrated printers, this ensures your print will look exactly how Richard intended.
Framing
Can you offer framing?
Frames are very personal, with even a simple black frame having multiple options. Rather than supply you with frames sight unseen, we always recommend taking your print to a local framer. That way you can pick the perfect style and finish for your room.
What size frame do I need?
To make your print look its best, we recommend using your local bespoke framing company rather than off the shelf options. This will ensure the frame matches the dimensions of your print perfectly.
What type of framing do you recommend?
It can be very personal preference due to room decor and taste but for some ideas:
Black and white prints: generally speaking, these tend to favour classic black wooden frames with a white mount. White frames can also work well for a clean and modern twist.
Colour prints: these allow you to express yourself a little more. Either go classic or use complimentary or even contrasting frame colours/mounts, depending on the room styling. For ultra modern, use a thin frame and no mount at all.
Glass type: regardless the print and framing style, we always recommend anti-reflective museum glass. This not only protects the print from UV rays but the anti-reflective nature allows you to view the print at its best, with little to no glare. It is almost as if the glass isn't there and gives the appearance you could reach out and touch the print itself. Ask your local framer for more information.
