Hillside Hike

Across the far side of the Yellowstone River, Richard spotted this red fox walking the opposite direction from his vehicle. He jumped out and walked back along the nearside elevated river bank, trying to get ahead of the fox. It was not long before the fox abandoned the rivers banks and headed up the hillside. The lower trees were thinly spread and, as it walked higher and higher, it turned to look back. This was the split second need to bring the scene together.
